We picked up A Drive in the Country illustrated by local artist Marc Burkhardt. The story is adorable, a Sunday drive in the country with no destination in mind but being together. During the drive the family stops by the road to pick fall leaves to send to their cousins who don't have Autumn where they live. What a sweet idea! So I asked my dear friend Katherine of Minnesota if she would pop some in the mail to us. This little package of traveling leaves made us so happy. We read the book again and I surprised the boys with the package at the end of the book. They loved it! We all loved it. Thank you Katherine for making our day.

Red Hot Red Dot show tonight!

Tonight is the  annual fundraiser for one of the best galleries in town Women and their Work. Click here to buy tickets and come see the varied selection by a heap of talented Texas artists. I have a small piece that I forgot to take a picture of but will show in a later post. This is such a fun show to see and supports a great cause. 

Candace Briceño

This is my latest wedding that I had mentioned I was excited about sharing in an earlier post. I feel really honored to have printed one of my favorite artists Candace Briceño's wedding invitation. I have loved her work for some time now. Candace did the beautiful drawing and we collaborated on the overall design.  Click here for a glimpse of Candace's work. And if you are in Texas she has a group show with 6 other artists at the Art Museum of South Texas in Corpus Christi that will be up until November 11, 2008.  Best of all wishes to Candace and Tom!
